  • How can you achieve bodyshop quality in a mobile service?

    Our mobile rig can operate in all weathers and completely encloses the vehicle. It is fitted with specially developed extraction and heating systems to create a dust-free working environment, for the perfect result. It carries all the necessary safety and environmental approvals and is even certified for 'on airport' use.

  • Why do you sometimes need to carry out a damage assessment first?

    Damage assessments are very important. They give us an opportunity to check that the impact hasn't affected the vehicle mechanically or structurally. They also enable us to order any parts we might need to do the job, and ensure that we are scheduling enough time with the technician for the repair to be carried out.

  • Who is AutoRestore®?

    AutoRestore® is a specialist mobile repair company set up in 2001 by Autoglass®, and is part of Belron® International, the world's leading glass repair and replacement business. We offer a national service from a large fleet of specially equipped vehicles using a state of the art paperless system.   • Are the repairs guaranteed?

  • How long does it take?

    We aim to complete a repair within just a few working days of notification - and we only take on work that we can complete within a single working day. So, as we come to you, if you're spending a day in the office or at home, you are never without your vehicle - and there's no need for all the hassle involved in using a courtesy car.

  • How do you book repair appointments?

    All jobs are handled by our contact centre team. They arrange the appointment and schedule a repair technician to do the work. As soon as they receive details of the customer, they call you to make sure they understand the full extent of the damage and to verify that the repair is within our scope. They make an appointment at your home, place of work or an Autoglass® branch, whichever you find most convenient. Details are sent electronically to the technician's hand-held computer - it's a completely paperless service. If an authorisation is needed, the technician sends digital photos of the damage when he arrives, and awaits the go-ahead.

  • What happens if I want to cancel?

    If you want to cancel, call one of our customer advisors on 0800 3310133 and they will be able to help. If you have already paid on booking, this will be refunded to you.

  • How much does a mobile bodyshop repair cost?

    Of course that depends on the amount of damage. But we have a simple pricing system based on the number of panels with damage, with no 'extras' other than any parts required. As we repair, rather than replace parts where possible, costs are kept to a minimum.

  • Why not go to a bodyshop?

    For significant damage, a bodyshop is the proper choice. But for minor accident damage, where the vehicle is still drivable, AutoRestore® offers these advantages:

  • What is your idea of 'minor accident damage repair'?

    As with our pricing policy, our repair structure is simple and straight-forward:

    • No more than 4 panels damaged
    • No structural deformation
    • No damage to horizontal surfaces eg.roof, boot or bonnet

  • We don't have a lot of room - how much space will you be taking up?

    2-3 car parking spaces is all we need to put up our mobile rig.

  • What size vehicle can you repair?

    Up to and including 4x4's and car-derived vans.

  • Can I book you and get more than one vehicle repaired in the same day?

    Yes, if you let us know in advance we can schedule the right amount of technicians to complete the repairs in one day.

  • What if I am unhappy with the work you do? Who do I complain to and what is the procedure to initiate the guarantee?

  • What if the repair takes more than one day? Do I have to pay you for a second day?

    No, it's a fixed price for the repair according to the number of vehicle body panels damaged.

  • What level of qualifications do your technicians have?

    All of our mobile bodywork repair technicians are bodyshop trained and accredited to the highest industry standards.

  • What kind of paint do your technicians use?

    We only use water-borne paints.

  • How many mobile bodyshop units do you have?

    Currently we have more than 150 mobile repair units covering the majority of the UK mainland.

  • If I need vehicle glass repaired or replaced, can you arrange for Autoglass® to do it?
